Social consumers/Mobile Media

Social Media is a way for people to engage in conversations, network, trends, and marketing. Leading companies use multiple social platforms to include, inform, and market to their consumers. The best examples of tools that engage company and consumer would be retweets on twitter and the likes on facebook. The retweets and likes have a huge impact on the influence of the way the a company markets and provides different forms of customer service .
A company that is active on social media more than likely to increase their sales all while making their brand stronger.  The typical social consumer tends to focus on social programs with predictable trends. Which is easily accessed through Mobile Media.  Mobile Media is also one of the leading ways that companies have been able to increase profit and awareness. In this day and age everyone has a cell phone or tablet. The majority of users engage in platforms that stream news and trends.

Our presence online- the takeover

The society that we live in is becoming a more "social" world. We rely receiving most of our general knowledge/information on topics in that are current in the from the web. Honestly I prefer to watch the news online, i read the paper online, I follow news station twitter. We're a society that uses social media as a reliable source. 20 years ago the Internet didn't have a huge impact on the lives of everyday citizens. The first use of the internet was solely used for military. Honestly I believe email was the starting point for the massive boom in Internet activity in the 1990's and in the 2000's chat rooms and social media made the activity rise even higher. Now in the the 2010's were extremely mobile world. And people with apple/android products are addicted to their mobile apps, we can not function without constantly checking our every 10-15 seconds.

The importance of Infographics/data visualization

With infographics we're able to view stats and put them into our own perspective. The benenfits and purpose of understanding infographics is that you are able to see how extremely complex information/stats/data can be broken down into an easier way to comprehend company research. Inforgraphics are a visual summary of mass data that can now easily be shared and explained amongst other people. The majority of infographics are colorful, animated, and most infograghics contain interesting facts about an organization or company. I believe infographics of social media allows for its audience to see how their activity online connects them to people all around the world which helps the social world grow even more. The difference between infograhics and data visualization is that infographics seem more personal and data visualization are more professional
